In Fells Point, Gail Furman, owner of Max's Taphouse, is voicing her concerns over the proposed 'One Fair Wage Bill' introduced by five City Council members.
The bill aims to increase the base minimum wage for tipped employees from $3.63 to $15 an hour.
Furman questioned the need for change, saying, "We've been this way forever and it's worked and it's not broken. Why are we trying to fix it?"
City Council President Zeke Cohen expressed his opposition, stating, "I believe it would cause more harm than good and hurt small and local businesses."
